Details: Up for sale is a 1998 Acura 3.0 CL. It currently has 234,000 miles on it and is no longer a daily driver, as I recently purchased a newer car. This car has scrapes, scratches, a bit of rust and will certainly not be winning cosmetic awards any time too soon. What it has been in the six years that I´ve owned it, is nothing short of amazing. It´s always started, has served me very well and has a lot of miles left in it. The mechanic that has always done the work on it, fully believes this car can easily go over 300,000 if serviced properly. Oil changes and regular service has always been done on time. The tires are Pirelli´s that have quite a bit of tread left. Lights, blinkers etc all work. CD stereo works well with a Bose system on board. Clean title. It might need a new one.Back brake pads will need to be replaced be the end of summer I´m guessing.If you´re looking for a rock-solid car and don´t car about the aesthetic value, then this is a great car for you. It was excess rain water from a thunderstorm. The event is described as follows. After a rainstorm the car was being driven home from work in downtown Houston in the fall of 2008 when the owner was involved in a situation where the rain water backed up while he was stopped in traffic under a freeway overpass. I spoke with and still have phone access to the owner who candidly explained that the car had (fresh) water in an around the car but only below the dashboard and for a very short time (just a few hours at most) as the car was towed from the scene shortly thereafter. Later on, after proper diagnosis this resulted in a series of only minor electric parts replacements (7 items and less than $3,000 in cost) to get the car back to normal operation after the auto insurance settlement. I have receipts for that short list of replacement parts which were installed by my local Twin Cities Acura mechanic who went over the car completely after I acquired it in February of 2009. I have been driving it on a regular basis since April of 2009 and the car may now be in even better condition than it would be otherwise at this age and time because of the new replacement parts. And there really is no residual visual (or smell) evidence lingering from the past event. The car looks and drives as it should. Upon inspection you will see that this low mileage NSX has been well taken care of by it´s past 2 owners, is in very excellent condition and is road ready and all aspects of the car operate properly. But don´t take my word for it. Come and take a look and see for yourself. I´m quite sure you won´t be at all disappointed.Just a few years away from Senior Citizen status and still an avid sports car enthusiast, this 2002 NSX is the 2nd NSX that I have owned.
